Gaurav has a Business Marketing Degree from the University of Western Sydney. Gaurav has wide experience in the field of logistics in Afghanistan, having handled various important projects for the rehabilitation in the country. Gaurav is an Afghan by origin and over the past 9 years, he has been instrumental in the success of ACTCO “one of the oldest logistics company in Afghanistan from the pre Taliban era”. Under Gaurav ‘s supervision, ACTCO has become the most reputed logistics based company in Afghanistan providing various solutions to its wide range of customers.

Gaurav‘s philosophy has always been to give the service which one would always want for themselves. Gaurav has widely travelled across Afghanistan especially all border points such as Islamqala / Turghundhi / Hairatan/ Sher khan Bandar / Aqina and Tourkham in order to learn the entry points of cargo shipments / working of the customs / state of roads to give firsthand experience to customers. Gaurav has been actively involved with the World Bank as a business team member. He advices them on the business module works in Afghanistan. He has also been in close co ordination with the Ministry of Finance - Transport Division where he has been asked to give tutorials to various other Freight Forwarders in Afghanistan. His company ACTCO has been the first Afghan Company to be a member of WCA Family of Logistics / FIATA / UFO and has been given an award by the Ministry of Finance for outstanding work in regard to the development of country in providing logistics supplies at crucial destinations.

ALI DAD BEGHZAD: Manager, Operation & Documentation Afghan

Ali Dad is the Vice President of ACTCO Afghanistan Logistics and the Country Manager. Ali Dad’s has been associated with the ACTCO family from the last 34 years. He has a wide experience of having worked in all departments such as Custom Clearance and Trucking in ACTCO. His knowledge of being an Afghan Logistics expert is unquestionable as he has been in Afghanistan right from the Russian invasion to the Mujahedeen and Taliban Era, who did not leave his country but was managing quite efficiently the affairs of ACTCO in terms of logistics movements. Ali Dad has widely travelled in all major parts of Afghanistan he has an in-depth knowledge of the rules and regulations. He is the Honorary Finance Head of the AFGHANISTAN FREIGHT FORWARDERS ASSOCIATION and is often a part of the Overseas Afghan delegation of business men to neighboring countries. He believes in being self involved in all kind of shipments himself at all times.

AZIM RAFIQ - Customer Relation – Afghan

Azim is the Business Development Manager at ACTCO since 2007. Being a highly motivated and energetic individual he is always looking for challenges. Azim is one of those Afghans who always keep their motivational skills high and look forward to create a better Afghanistan one day.

He has studied at S.N.M.S High School Kabul, Afghanistan and Graduated from Kabul University and later he graduated from Afghan English Language center. He has recently completed a management course at the Karadan University apart from Diplomas in MS Office Program and Marketing / Agriculture Traninig programs.

He has worked for UNOPS during the election in Kapisa as a Chief Radio Operator and is also a Medic by profession. He has spent good number of years working for the Afghan Red Crescent Society in Afghanistan.

Azim has been a part of the company since the last 4 years and over the years has been involved in some complex shipments which not only requires good co- ordination but a foresight of what to expect in unfriendly conditions.

MOHAN LAL (Project Coordinator)

He completed his schooling from Mashraqi High School, Kandahar in 1969. Later under the supervision of Afghan Commerce Ministry, he joined English language course under the supervision of American Centre & British Counsel/Kabul.

Since 1995 Mohan Lal has been working as sales & marketing executive with ACTCO Gulf Freight L.L.C/Dubai. Thereafter he did technical courses in wool grading & sorting from Jaipur/India & wool scouring from Melbourne-Australia and was appointed by the Afghan Ministry of Commerce & Industries as supervisor of Wool Scouring plant at Kandahar and carried on his duties as a government official staff over there till March-1981.

Prior to ACTCO, due instability & unsuitable living condition in 1981, he quit government job and started working with different private companies (Bajaj Trading Co., Kabul, Ali Baba Co., Ltd/Kabul, Asha Co., Ltd, Tirath Singh Tyan Singh Traders, Kabul) as business coordinator till late Eighties. Due to the un-stable conditions of the home country in the mid of November 1989, he shifted to India and worked there as business coordinator with private firms.
